Your Impact:

The RF Engineer position analyzes, develops, designs, and maintains scalable and distributed wireless and location platforms for clients. Works with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to find solutions.

A Glimpse of What You’ll Do
  • Offer architectural design, planning and support for project delivery goals
  • Provide client consultation on Wireless solutions, including survey, design, maintenance and implementation of wireless hardware, controllers and software
  • Participate in various client projects intended to continually improve/upgrade wireless infrastructures
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems
  • Maintain knowledge and skills to implement design and use of routers, switches, access points, wireless LAN controller
  • Perform wireless surveys and documents findings
  • Develop and delivers professional proposals, including design documentation
  • Understand and articulates project wireless requirements
  • Locate and reads blueprints or floor plans of client site
  • Determine location of AP’s based on network power and cabling
  • Relocate AP’s and retests, depending on the results of survey
  • Estimate total number of AP’s needed for overall coverage
  • Document findings and results
  • Record the locations and logs signal readings and data rates observed for future reference
  • Assist in development of business and technical requirements; high and low level design activities
  • Offer post implementation support and troubleshooting for clients
  • Monitor network systems and assists in performing corrective action
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
  • Five years’ experience in IT professional services, CISCO or working with routing, switching and LAN desired
  • CCNA, CCNA Wireless, CWNA, or CWNP strongly preferred

Additional Information
  • Full-time position, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Frequent evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected
  • Minimum of 50% travel is expected
  • Passport is required
